Emergency relief efforts aim to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain human dignity in the aftermath of natural disasters and political crises. Recently, conflict in Syria and Yemen has displaced millions of individuals, including children. UNHCR, an agency of the United Nations, estimates that there are approximately 2 million internally displaced people in Yemen and 700,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan.
As humanitarian crises disproportionately impact women and children, the Shefa Fund supports organizations that provide health care services and vital supplies to vulnerable women and children, following natural disasters or political conflict.
